Michael G. Salmon
Michael G. Salmon is of counsel at the Firm and maintains a practice in the areas of commercial litigation and corporate and business matters. Mr. Salmon began his career in corporate finance as an investment banking associate at Citigroup. After leaving Citigroup, he joined the New York City office of the London-based law firm Clifford Chance US LLP. He worked in the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity groups, and represented domestic and international clients in cross-border transactions. At Clifford Chance, he gained valuable corporate experience in a range of complex, negotiated transactions, including private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; creation of strategic and collaborative joint ventures; and formation of investment partnerships.
Following a successful career in corporate law, the life of an independent entrepreneur beckoned. This led Mr. Salmon to co-found an opportunistic private investment fund and venture consulting firm. After several years, he combined his entrepreneurial spirit and love of the law into his own successful practice.
Mr. Salmon enjoys running and has completed numerous half-marathons and several New York City Marathons. Being a Briton, he is a competitive soccer player and supports the Reds of Liverpool FC. He is currently trying to learn French and appreciates the underlying game theory involved in high-level poker.
